    Hydraulic jack plate losing pressure?

Just installed a Bob's hydraulic jack plate and had it jacked up halfway. When I came back couple hours later it came all the way down.
I jacked it back up half way and I hear small pounding sound very 10 seconds coming from hyd. pump.
Pretty bummed out, any idea what's happening?

Is the seal on pump leaking? May need to add fluid.

Yep bleed it out however bobs says to do. Usually its going to the top or bottom and holding the switch for a few extra seconds and running it to the other end again

Well got the air out of the system, but still loses pressure slowly. Called Bob's and they said bad check valves or dirty valves. So I have to pull the pump back out of the bilge area clean or replace the check valves. I'm just going to replace to check valves. Not happy but only $15 bucks. So when buying a used hyd. jack plate might be a good idea to replace check valves first and consider it maintenance. The hyd. plate is a 2008 unit.
