Right prop for a 1994 Evinrude 150 Intruder GLERA

I have two props . One is a Raker 24p. 14 1/4" The other is a 26 pitch 14 1/4" I'm not sure what brand since it is not on the prop anywhere . The only numbers are on the hub#505055 although the hub looks a lot like that of a Stiletto.

raker 24p should work good for you,,,26p gonna be to much prop for you to turn i feel.

On most boats this is correct, the 24 Raker will be the ticket with that 150 Intruder. I had a 175 Fast strike on a Stratos, and even with motor mods it would only turn the 26 Raker (that had a bit of extra cup too) if I was solo.

My old Fast Strike 175 on a 19 foot Stratos loaded swung a 24 Raker easy,,,,,but each boat and motor are different. Example-is motor up to snuff/running good/tuned properly/not wore out/motor height or jackplate/hull in good shape,,,ect. May be a good baseline but some experimentation with a few props may be the ticket for best results.

Should be a good starting point then and may work just fine. Just remember to prop it to stay in the advertised power band/rpms at wide open throttle.

A 15 " diameter prop with a 15* pitch would not be good for his motor. It would be a good prop for a pontoon boat and say a 90 HP motor but not a high performance application.

What boat? If it's a normal sized bass boat for that engine than it's hard to beat a 24 Raker for top end

That was prob a Renegade. Great prop, might need to be reconditioned and they usually benefit from some extra cup being added. Raker 24p is the right prop if you want to go to a 3 blade, and should be a bit faster.

Just realized you hijacked a thread from back in May. You should have started a new thread.

Is there any marking on the prop barrel like Renegade or Raker? Is it a pressed in hub? If it is what are the numbers on it? 3 blade or 4? Raker props come in even pitches and have a 14.25" diameter, a Renegade is a 4 blade prop and comes in odd pitches and the diameter is usually 13.5". You may have a Mercury prop as they come in odd and even pitches.
