    Shimano Reels Anybody?

I'm needing a couple of new reels, I'm a Shimano guy so not interested in any other reels. No greenies please, have plenty of those. Anyone have any in good shape they want to sell, or trade for Dove, Hog hunt or lodging here at the ranch? What cha got?

Found me a couple of pristine 50mg's at a good price. So I'm good for now.

    A 50 mg would work. Or a 70 series.

The two 50mg's I bought were 9.5 out of 10. He has one that's 7.5 out of 10 that works fine that he wants $130 for.

I guess I'm going to have to try one of these reels, I've always been a Lews or Revo guy.

I used a chronarch last week and it was a damn nice reel, probably the smoothest I've ever used.

ive got a couple of 50mg's and a 50e that I just got back from having cleaned and bearings replaced. Would be willing to trade all 3 for an nrx jwr 872 spinning. Prefer the blue rod.

I'm sure there's an inside joke there, but I used to love those reels. Still have a couple from the 90s. They're in a vault with some Shimano Black Max round reels.

Yeah, Stompy don't like round reels. The 100 is the only Shimano I have and I still use it. I also have a couple of the Black Max in the boat, one on my Carolina rig and another on a T-rig rod. Black Maxes are ABU Garcia though. Most all the rest are ABU Garcia STX and 2005LP. Think I have one Lews and a couple of Pflugers.

Yes, Abu Garcia. I stand corrected. I don't like the round reals anymore either. Fact is, I got away from Shimano all together many years ago. I wouldn't mind having a Calais, though.
