    Question N. Michigan smallies

Dad and I are headed back north to Indian River next weekend and I was just curious about what kind of spring it's been so far and what stage the fish are in on Mullett.
We've hit several lakes in the area, but a few we haven't tried are Black, Intermediate and Charlevoix.
Any suggestions as to which would be worth our time?
If you don't mind sharing some info, but don't want it to be public, just PM me. I understand!
    Any help is much appreciated!

    Klinger,

Fish are still prespawn right now, they'll be bedding when you get here. All of the local lakes that you mentioned will be on!!!

I'm heading up to Burt and Mullet this afternoon for the week, first time up there. Was really hoping to time it right to hit the spawn, should be a great time. I haven't had any other experience in Michigan besides Lake St. Clair, but I've fished a lot of smallies primarily up in North Dakota.

How many boats does it draw? Sounds like a day my dad and I will spend elsewhere to avoid the crowd.

Probably the hardest tournament to win, some of the very best in the state fish this event. One of these years I hope to come up and donate, work is always in the way.

Fish are starting to stack up and bed on Burt and Mullett. The warm weekend pushed fish up. Should just keep getting better from here on out. Charlevoix is a great place to fish this time of year as well. Although the spawn there usually runs a little later and longer into June than the other lakes in the area.
