I just unboxed a new Xi5 that I am about to install. The manual talks about installing a upper and lower GPS module. As far as I can tell these are already installed--right? I assume you do have to link the remote--or do you?

Yes they are already in your Xi5. Yes you will have to link the remote to your unit. Instructions should tell you how. I think you press and hold a few of the buttons when you turn you motor on, by deploying it.

thanks--another question--is the power indicator light always on when the motor is plugged in (connected to the batteries)?
No only when deployed.....
Remember to unplug it before charging
