    Here she is...new to me ranger!

    This followed me home today. 1995 487vs with a 1998 Meecury 200 EFI hanging off the back. Needs a fair amount of cosmetic work but both trailer and boat are structurally strong. Needs all new trolling motor and electronics but has the tandem trailer and hydraulic steering. Taking that all into consideration I don't think I did to bad at $5500.

    All my boats have been new or near-new, and they can only go one direction from there. It would be very satisfying to take a more experienced boat then restore and upgrade it. Sounds like you have a lot of fun times ahead!

    Great point. While new is very nice, Im very happy I started with a 19yr old boat, had to fix her up, and got good at working on them and more importantly diagnosing things that were wrong. The experience is invaluable, even if it caused a few headaches early in my boat ownership.
