    California Air Tools 2010 Compressor...

I'm wanting to order this compressor and wondered if anyone has this model and what they can share with me before I buy.

"Oil-Free' was enough for me to run. I've yet to see an oil-free compressor last.

I had a Makita oil free that worked great for many years... Someone else needed it more than me when they took it. Some item work better with oil free, Like an air brush.

I have two of them. A larger one in our shop and a smaller one (lower amps) in our toy hauler. Work great, Low noise. Shop one runs a lot and zero failures.

My last oil free compressor lasted 23 years before it developed a pin hole in the tank. I recently bought a 4hp California Air Tools compressor to replace it. Very quiet at 75db. If it lasts >20 years, I'll be happy.

Also, you live in Texas, you never have cold temps in a garage to prohibit the use of an oil lubricated compressor.

Well, it is the lounge. Ask for an honest opinion about something and get replies from people that never owned/used/seen a particular item.

It's not about the money, I want a lighter, quieter, more portable air compressor than my old Makita was. This one fits all the criteria that I have been looking for. Before I buy it I was hoping to hear from some of that own the same compressor.

I have looked for the $100 compressor you speak of... I have not found them. I may buy a few of them when I do.

Is $135 for the 2010A not close enough?

They make a smaller model in the $100 range... That is not the one I need... Not enough cfm's.
