The passenger cup holder on my 919 is in the worst possible space for a non-boater. You can't even open it with rods in the way. Has anyone removed the cup holder and put another stock round light? (Like the one just to the left of red circle). Or aftermarket? Pulling power would be easy, just wondering about mounting holes etc..

That's there more for the passenger console than anything. That's where it latches into. If you dont have a console or the hardware to install one go for it. I don't remember off the top of my head how its attached to the hull though. I know the cup holder just pops on it but can't remember how the other part is attached.

I only looked at it for a few minutes yesterday, and reached through the passenger rod locker. Felt like there was 2 bolts. Would just hate to drill a new hole to mount a light. I'll be able to steal power from the light 2 feet away.

I have my cup holder on the mount for the console. The downside on my 721 is that my rod tips want to get up under the cup holder or console bracket. I really need to make something to cover it that would protect my rods. I am not sure a co has ever used that thing.
