Skeeter Trailer Spare Tire Hold Down J Hook Replacement EzLoader

Hey everyone!

Just had my spare tire J-hook give way on me and thought I'd share my replacement. On a hunch I ordered a J-hook from a Ford spare tire holder to see if it'd fit. The one I ordered fits Crown Victoria, Mercury Grand Marquis/Marauder, Mustang, Taurus, and Lincoln Town Car models. I think the year is 2001. And guess what? It fits! It seemed a little short in the package but I slipped it on and it had about 1/2 inch of clearance to get the nut started. That was plenty.

And it's dirt cheap to boot. Only about $7.00 used up to about $18.00

Lemme tell ya, that's a load off my shoulders. No one carries "Skeeter spare tire hold down" bolts, lol.

I took my J-Hook to Autozone and found a lock lug nut for it. That way nobody can steal it easy without the lock key.
