    Question Indoor chart updating .

    999 CI HD SI.

Need to remove a bunch of old weigh points and put name or depth info with ones I would like to keep.
Is this possible to do while sitting at a bench with a converter or 12 volt source ??
If so any tricks or info so as not to mess anything up..

Yes that is the hard way to do it. You have to remember to SAVE after each individual waypoint edit.

The easy way is to export the data and load it to HumminbirdPC for editing. Clear the unit's waypoint library and load the edited data.

One more thing if you do that. Don't use spaces and symbols in the names. That is read as computer commands and will screw up the unit.

One thing that may help when doing it on your computer if you don't remember the locations of all the waypoints you have.

Before you delete the unit's data, have your unit powered beside your computer operating in Simulator and select each waypoint so it shows on the map to the right. Edit or delete with HBPC as you view the locations.

Fireman, speaking as someone who screws up every now and then. I copy the original, unaltered waypoints somewhere I can find them should I mess up. Bob

If you have google earth on the machine with Humminbird PC, you can also highlight a bunch of way points, right click them, and view them in google earth.

Mine does some strange stuff unless I start Google Earth up first .... Then select the waypoints to view in Humminbird PC ....Have you tried it that way?

Troy, I just happened to notice your revision of HBPC and might need to update it. I have ver 4.5.5 loaded and works with GE. Can also view saved tracks in GE. Don't know if that is different with ONIX/SOLIX though.

When you register an ONIX or SOLIX, you don't get HumminbirdPC in that account since HBPC is not fully compatible with those units.

Troy, you have HBPC 4.5.5 in your 1198 account.

You won't loose your data that is in My Documents when you update HBPC.
    Folder name is My_HumminbirdPC

You will have to go there to re-link your data to the new HBPC.

I've already removed the 1198 from my account, so I don't have access to it

I just used the version I have to change the icons on 3000 waypoints so I hope my solix doesn't explode lol

I had an old version of HB PC .....installed the new version and it fixed the Google Earth problem I had.

I have put a copy of it here and you should be able to download it from there. https://www.dropbox.com/s/ijvigg562j...4.5.5.exe?dl=0

I think you can download it without a login.

That is what I was going to do via email. With all the "server error" shutdowns I get, I did not think that would work here.

Yep, I tried emailing a Lowrance update file and it was too large. I had to put it in my google drive and let the person download it. Oh, and I have had a lot of "server errors" today btw.

I get server errors on here quite a bit too ..... pretty frustrating after typing a long post or email ... and poof it's gone with a server error message.
