I haven't tried one yet but I have heard good things. That said why not use a larger reel, I. Use 3 thosandsfor all my applications as you have to do a lot less reeling and the larger spool produces longer casts and less coiling.
I don't know a thing about the Ultegra. Personally I really like the Saros. And I'm with Rangerdawg. A 1000 size is awfully small.
I have a couple of older ones and I love them. They were the JDM version of the Symetre. Love mine!
