    2003 G3 pro 165 with Yamaha 4 stroke

Issues getting on plane. When on plane it runs 22 mph GPS. What prop are you guys running on this boat with this motor? It seems to get stuck at 4000 rpms for a long time before getting on plane. Some times it does not plane off at all. Replaced plugs, had carb rebuilt and cleaned, drained tank and added premium fuel, replaced fuel line and filter. Only me in boat with no fishing gear.

    Current prop is a 9-7/8 x 10-1/2 - F.
It turns 5500 RPM at 22 MPH but takes an eternity to get on plane.

Might try moving some weight forward. 5 gallon bucket holds 40+ lbs. Of water. Consider Smart Tabs, too.

What is the HP? If this will help, I have a 2002 Pro175 with a 60 2-stroke. I start with a full tank of gas (132lbs) me at 175lbs, my adult daughter at 120lbs, tackle boxes, anchor, etc and run a SS cupped 13 1/2X14 Yamaha prop. I average about 34mph GPS at 5500 rpm depending on the weather and it winds up fast to put me on plane. My motor now has 321 hours on it. The boat came with a 13 1/2X15 aluminum prop. I always put Yamaha Ring Free and Star Brite gas treatment in my fuel. I usually burn only 5 gallons on each outing, so I am always carting around a tank of heavy gas (at 6.3lbs per gallon).

I have a 1756 dlx, 2004, 50 hp 4 carbs. With a full 21 gallon tank, I weigh 170, and all gear will do 31mph. According to Navionics app on phone. Stock aluminum prop. Takes a while to get to full speed. Add another person, better have it trimmed down to get going.
I once had 4 adults in it, plus gear, full tank. Wouldn't plane out. Even shuffled people around.
Rpm at wot, 5100. Saving for a SS prop.

If you (anybody) can't easily get on plane, or have porpoising problems, you all really should look at Smart Tabs.

I've put them on three different boats and couldn't be more pleased. A simple solution to a constant problem(s).

I have no affiliation with the company other than being a happy customer.
