Just rent a ski boat or pontoon for the few times they would go

Ever thought about looking at tidecraft? They use to make a bass boat that had seating in front of the consoles and might be able to build one. Maybe food for thought
2+2 Allison is the only bass boat 4 seater .There's a lot of fish and ski out there.
Lund has both the 18' and 20' ProV Bass models with 4 seat options. That said, I've taken my whole family out (2 adults + 2 kids under 10) in my Champion. We fit all the way across, but my kids enjoyed sitting on the step to the front deck.

As for room on the decks of the 2+2 I think it compares to a standard 19' bassboat deck room. I love mine. Most fish and skis lean heavily towards ski. The 2+2 leans towards fish. I love that you can lay 7' rods on the front deck and they stay in the boat, not hanging over the edge like typical fish and skis. I have zero regrets with mine.

I bought a Ranger 186 Reata rather than a true bass boat. It served for 8 years before the true bass boat showed up last year. I am not knocking the fish and ski platform at all but when I fished out of it 95% of the time and cruised the other 4.9% and pulled someone .1% it was real easy to make a decision. Let me tell you..............don't know why I waited so long! Having the boat designed, set-up and rigged for fishing only makes such a huge difference.
Nitro z7 sport is a decent family boat on a bass boat hull, i just looked one over today
