Trailer Storage
My boat will be in the water for the next few months. Is there anything special I should do with the trailer while it's not being used? It will be parked on dirt.
Should I wrap the swing away tongue and electrical connection with a garbage bag to protect them? Park the tires on scrap wood?
thanks!

Putting wood under the tires is what I do for a utility trailer that gets parked on grass. If you want to get OCD, put it on blocks, pull tires, put them inside. The sun's a killer on them.

A plastic bag will hold condensation so if you can remove it from time to time to let the tongue dry out would be a good idea. Wood under tires is a good idea. Also if your trailer has surge brakes make sure the tongue is fully extended.

Instead of the plastic bag, put a 5 gallon bucket over it.
