    Lynx question

Anybody have an idea how the boat will run with a 250 sho or better yet a mercury 300 xs 3.2 stroker motor vs a Verado, I got a quote on the boat but came in real high in my opinion for lynx, 350 vrod, 2 /12 hds, ultrex, stereo, with hydraulic plate, i was overwhelmed by the price of the boat. I know it's a new model but these prices are getting out of reach for the sport on a 20 ft boat.

The Sho should come in around 1-2 MPH slower then the numbers posted of 78 light loaded and 74 loaded. The 300 should be around 4-5 faster then the posted numbers since they were with a 250 Pro XS. I would think the 300 Verado will be 1-2 MPH slower then the 300 XS. They also said the production boats may come in a little slower then the posted numbers since they still have stuff to do to the boat before production.

This is my .02 if you plan on buying and keeping long term the 300 verado would be a good choice and should be a 77 MPH boat loaded.

Pretty much any 20 footer with those options will have a serious price tag.
I'm not sure what a 350 Vrod costs, but I am sure that addition alone would by a nice Aluminum bass boat!

I bought a 2017 Jag with a 350 verado . If you love the best and plan to keep it a long time then go for it. If you want to flip boats every year then stay with puma/cougar rigs. BTW, Jag with the 350 is a 77 mph boat loaded. I am sure a lynx with a 300 will be very similar numbers.

Verado 350 21,600, 2 HDS 12s 6000, Atlas Hydro 1000, stereo 500, Ultrex 2400 == 34K in stuff and the steering is extra on the Vrod. I think the Lynx is going to add up when you price it with all the stuff you dream about all at once!

Still on the fence on a jag or a lynx but figure I should be at under 80k on one of these 2 rigs and have some decent options standard, there are a lot of well equipped price point boats on the market today, not a Basscat but others offering nice packages and competitive prices, I figure at these prices decent graphs and poles should be standard. Still doing my homework have the means to purchase just concerned about where to invest my hard earned cash being the boat I choose is my last. I've always admired the construction and customer service and meeting Ivan and Rick at wolfies was amazing great people.

I'd like to think with those options someone could get you close to 80k. The 350 VRod will drive that price up a good bit compared to one of the 250s.

I was told at the Bass master Classic that the Lynx with a 250 Pro XS would be around 68-70 for basic boat. I would assume time I add PP 4000.00,hydraulic jack plate at 1,200,bigger graphs, 4,000.00, 350 verado 4,000.00 and Ultrex at 1,400.00. I put what I thought was upgrade charges on pieces, the total would be, 14,600 on top of the 68-70 for a grand total of about 84,000. and could be little higher. I know we don't like the higher prices but they are what they are. The bass boats are just a really expensive toy, that loses a lot going out the door. LOL

I would assume most higher end 20' boats will be in the 62,000 for a basic boat and time you add most of the extras from above you will still be in the mid 70's. You go to a ranger and you will be in the same range as the Lynx about 70ish for a basic boat. just my .02

I'm thinking 4 stroke on my last boat if not I would have to go back to a 2 stroke and it would be a stroker 3.2 to push the lynx and 350 on a big boat like a Jaguar, don't know real numbers on a 250 on a jag or 3.2 on a jag.

Would you consider the 400R for the Jag?

Phoenix, you are close on pricing. What really drives the ultimate end price is the options. Usually a high end boat owner will option the boat heavier.

Most boats competing in the market today come with dual poles, 12 and 9 standard 112 fortrex, 250 Yamaha or Mercury and a few nice standard options in 21 ft right at 68 to 71k ready to go, upgrade a few items 74k pretty well loaded cover and all, Phoenix, Ranger, Skeeter, and they are all nice boats but not a Basscat different animal all together. That being said the boats on price point are very attractive, I'm just trying to figure what will fit the bill for this guy, to each their own but if I'm spending my money to get into a 20 to 21 ft rig it's gotta be reasonable and within reason, not starting a bash here by any means but just looking at options on the cat as a first time owner of a great company. If I can't get the boat I want then I will just keep what I have which I enjoy each time I go out and do what I enjoy. I know it's very well able to be had at a negotiable price.

I would think the Lynx would be competitively priced with the top of the line Ranger 20 footer. Throw those options on a Z520C and I bet the price is very close.

The boat does have innovative design features that are expensive. Somewhere around $2k in bolt ons and upgrades that cost over other smaller Bass Cat models and theat puts it between a Jaguar and Puma FTD.

Bass Cat sells a significant number of boats without Power Poles and upgraded trollers. The 112/109/105 trolling motors require the extra charger bank, battery and they weigh more. We don't know what the plans are for 2018 pricing options on the kits.
