    ? heat damage

My boat was recently in my shop that caught fire. I managed to get the boat out, but everything metal on it now has a scortched appearance due to the high heat, including the prop. It is a 26 fury. I am dealing with the insurance company on damages now. I am sure I can prob get this polished but am concerned with the possibility that it may have weakened it somewhat, causing problems in the future. Thoughts? Thanks

Did it melt the plastic cowl on the motor? Probably just soot from the fire

I would think the insurance company would replace anything with damage. I would call your prop heat damaged. What does the insurance company say.

Thanks. Haven't talked to insurance company about prop yet. Just getting opinions and ducks in a row before I do. Cowling ok on boat. Fiberglass good. Just sucked the oil from all the metal like in the hydraulic rods. Everything was already rusted the next morning
