    Bent my new Fortrex

Fishing one of our more heavily timbered E. Texas lakes and I hit a stump dead on while trolling across a cove. Took all I could do to stay on the boat but the motor bent back under the hull as far as it could go. My foot pedal was toe down all the way and locked. I could not turn motor with the foot pedal. Pulled the motor up half way deployed and turned the head by hand. Made a nasty grinding noise but I got it tured enough to stow.

what am I looking at repair wise? New shaft and bearings? Any idea of cost?

Not sure what it's called but you bent the metal tube the shaft goes into. I got mine from a authorized dealer. Not sure exactly how much but I know it was under $50. Pretty easy to do your self. I replaced my bearings also but if yours is new they should be fine.

I had a MK fall off at about 45. So hard that it hit the hull. All in, it was only like 125$
