I'm not even using the step as a cooler. I'm using mine as small storage, very handy

How easy or hard are the new extensions to swap out back to the old style? If it's as easy as just lifting it out then I'm gonna have to spend some money.

Mine came with hardware, remove 4 bolts , 2 in the rod box , 2 from the front compartment, lift it out done , weighs about 28 lbs

Matt, once you mount this I doubt you'll ever want to remove it. And if you drill for the cooler drain, you're going to have a 2 inch hole in your floor, lol. I put 11 bolts in mine and seam sealed the edges with 5200. It looks like it was part of the boat from day one.

You're going to really love it. It fixes what to me has been a short coming, not enough front storage and no step up to the front.
