    Beede Tach ?

In my 07 TR20X Hp my tach sterts to bounce all over after 4000 rpms on a 225 pro xs. Should I replace the tach or could it be a fixable problem? It is the oversized multi functional with the trim gauge in it. And where do I look for one if I replace it?
    Thanks Wayne

Note the trim pot selector position number on the back of the gauge.
Turn the trim pot selector screw to all the different settings.
Return the selector screw to the noted position, and test the operation.

I looked at the back of it today and noticed 2 black flat knobs. Tried to turn them with a little force but wouldn't turn. wasn't sure if I should force them or not.

Selector pot will have numbers around the dial.

Does your tach have the small dip switches instead of the pots? Beede changed to dip switches in the early 2000's and my 2004 has them. They look like little light switches and are set off or on.

I did not look that close. I will look at it again in a day or 2.

On the dip switches on the back, switch #4 should be in the open position.

You need to move all of them up and down several times then return them to the current position.
