Four 'more' inches for a total of 6. I removed 5 1/2" inches of setback by deleting the JP. With it, I was almost at 10"... or 12" if you count the total setback. Probably not a lot for you guys with newer or bigger boats but definitely a lot for a 201. When I bought it, jackplates weren't all that common and Champion warrantied the transom at no more than 6 inches additional setback. I eventually got up to 8 inches additional with my Venom but I'm convinced that moving it back was a step in the wrong direction.

I wish someone would explain the physics of being "behind the hump". Pat has said you want to be in the hump... that it's OK to be in front but never behind. I've got a theory but I'd like to hear more on that.

Getting in was easy. Getting out was a different deal!

The motor is 540 but that includes the steering and on-motor oil reservoir. My Venom was 450 plus 10? for the steering plus 20? for a full oil reservoir plus 56 for the jp and spacers. So, the G2 is like 5 lbs more than my previous set up but 4" closer to the transom. (I also added a house battery 44 lbs) It's also about 50 more horses.

I had the deck insert in my 201 as well. I never thought about pulling it out and bitched about the lack of bow lift the whole time I had it. Having half of BPS in it probably didn't help either ...
