I have about 20 for myself. The fiancé has 3 that only go in the boat when she is along.

I'm OCD so I have an updated list both in my boat and on my computer. It has all the details of each set up including, rod sock color, line size, and date it was changed. I have 15 casting and 5 spinning, Although 2 of the spinning are my river wading set-ups that only get used for that time of the year.

5 casting and 2 spinning in the boat but I agree it's personal. Too many and you change lures too often, too few and you're not prepared. What the number is? If I knew I'd write a book!

I too keep a document about my arsenal that lists when the line was last changed, reel use, rod pairing, maintenance history, and date purchased. I keep track of my boat and truck maintenance on a document as well.

I've always said that if you know how many rods and reels you have, you don't have enough.

I appreciate that y'all care enough to do this intervention... It's not gonna work, though.

When I'm ready, I'll do it for me.

    10. Only use 6 most of the time. On a real good day, I may use two.

Rode with a guy 2 years ago. He pulled 6 rods out of the box first thing. Every one was rigged with a Senko. Can you imagine the numbers this might put up if you projected it into each possible combo?
