In the chart overview section of the manuel it notes that a compass /heading sensor might be required. I have one ht was on my 998. Should I reinstall it?
It is not "required" but is a good addition for a bow unit to use the heading sensor or for the console unit to have an external GPS antenna where the transom transducer is.
