New ultrex adjusting heading

I'm going out on a new boat tomorrow with a new ultrex. Though I remembered reading that I had to hit something and do 2 full circles to adjust heading. I man read the instructions and didn't see it . Anybody know anything about this?

Thats the calibration. You have to first pair the hand control to the trolling motor. Then choose calibrate.when blank circle appears drive boat in 2 complete circles. Yull see it on hand unit. Then set up the off set.

don't forget must pair the puck also with the motor before using the remote
