At what speed can you mark fish on 2d? Had a buddy that said he marks at 10-15 mph. On my boat I can't because there's too much turbulence in my boat. What do you guys use for setting and what's your most accurate speed . Guessingchart speed at 10?

I scan at 3mph on the big motor (at idle) and 1mph on the trolling motor. I set the chart speed to match the boat speed but will set the bow graph to 10mph when vertical fishing.
My boat can't stay on plane at 10 to 15 mph.

50 mph I can mark suspended schools of crappies, I don't care what you say. As far as single/ small groups close to the bottom 5-7 max
idle speed up to 7mph for single fish. This spring I found a pile of smallies deep at 60 mph on the edge of a drop but stuff like that is very rare.

i scan at idle speed which is 3.4 mph but i can read bottom and structure up to 60 or so. most of the time you want to match chart speed to boat speed when scanning but you can max out scroll speed when running at high speed or when on the bow vertical fishing. sometimes you can also speed up scroll speed slightly faster than boat speed when scanning at idle to 'open up' things like brush piles and make it easier to see fish within it.
