I have recently installed dedicated left and right si and 2D transducers. while "tweaking" settings, (boat not moving), depth reading went from 10 ft to 20 ft. Reviewed all settings .... when I changed surface clutter from 1 to 4 the depth reading changed back to 10 ft..... only to jump back to 20 a few minute later.
Any "settings" suggestions would be appreciated.

Raise the surface clutter some more. The surface clutter setting controls the TVG (time variable gain) of the sonar output.....You may want to Google that if you don't know what it is.
You may also want to set the max depth a little deeper than the depth of the water you expect to encounter.
