Was looking at a 496 and noticed something and wanted to see if this was normal or has this boated been altered? It's a 496 with 2 seats and cooler. The cooler is centered in that boat but not centered between the seats. It appears the passenger seat is offset for rod placement but the driver seat is not offset creating an odd situation in the middle. Is this normal? My OCD would go crazy seeing that every trip.
Theses a seat that goes over the cooler lid and you won't see the offset.If I take my center seat out I have step that covers that area.
I like where they put those speakers though!
My 596 is the same way. I covered it with a step that Ed at Charger made for me.

Just cut you a piece of plywood the same size of your seat. Cover it with fiberglass resin and carpet it. Use the same hinge off the seat. Works really well..
