I just got the motor back from the shop and was able to run it for the first time yesterday, everything runs good no beeps. The motor has a replacement lower unit with new water pump from a reputable prop/lower unit guy in Northern KY. I noticed when I start the motor, it takes a minute for the pee stream to start and its not a solid stream, more of a spitty squirt (if that makes sense). I was able to get it up on plane and run it about 4800-5000 rpms while watching the water pressure guage and it would fluctuate from around 10-12ish psi. My last motor was a merc 115 elpto with a strong pee stream and around 20 psi wot setting even higher than this motor?? what gives?
I do know that the water pressure hose from the engine on the efi is a very small 5/32" tube connected to my old larger sized water tube going to the gauge. The last motor had the larger diameter tube from the engine all the way to the gauge, would this affect water pressure reading?
