So you're saying originally with the Helix10DI at the bow and Helix10SI at the console you would get the constant sonar lost message?
Your Helix10DI is currently out for repair?
You tried the new Helix12SI at the console and moved your Helix10SI to the bow and still have sonar lost message when the 12 is sharing the SI with the 10?

With a third unit and 2 of them being SI, you should be able to narrow it down a bit easier.
It sure seems like the 10SI Ethernet could be the culprit.
Also don't rule out the AS EC QDE at the console if you're just putting the 12 on the 10's cable collector.
Have you had a chance to test it with just the 12SI and 10DI in the system?

nope still dont have di unit back yet.....

yes think the 10 si ethernet is most likely culprit

regarding the as ec qde i talked to humminbird about it and that would be very unlikely, the si source lost did get better with the first di repair, but would still freeze up.....i just realized i will need one to add in the third unit, so can rule that for sure in a couple days...

Has HB's tech dept. been notified of the DDCB pop up?

I have NEVER seen that message before (usually "local sonar lost, switch to local?")- and if it happened on all three while hooked directly, I would say that the 360 is the common denominator here...

    Not the units them selves.

Wouldn't DDCB be referring to what he named his Helix on the network?

ddcb is the source for the 360......this problem started way before I got the 360........i think because it lost the si as a source and 360 is in the network options it is offering to switch si to the 360 si source....the 360 is connected directly to the hub, if i bypass the hub with a direct ethernet cable between the units the 360is completely bypassed, and when direct connecting units i still get si sonar source lost

switched units and it worked with old 10 si to new 12 si on bow..........

so then switched then back new 12 si at console and old 10 si on bow and it worked this time.....

i think maybe the old 10 si was still thinking it was the primary, or all the switching around made it get new ip address or something.....

but then after a couple minutes the dreaded si source lost message......

so then did the multiple restore defaults pn the 10 si to fix a stuck ip address and it is working, for 5 minutes now no dropped si sonar source(normally takes 1-2 minutes)......so maybe this was just a network/ip/software issue for the 10 si unit ?

As far as the freezeup while on the 360 screen after retract, it must be some software glitch because 2 of my units behaved the same way last week.

I think if I were you I would try and isolate by running just 1 unit at a time for an extended period while on the water.
Maybe when you get all 3 units back and in service, try leaving one of them out of the system and disconnected from the Ethernet and see if you can systematically narrow down the culprit.
It could be that the interference you are experiencing is also contributing to the glitchy behavior as well by inducing erratic signals into places they don't belong.
have you had anymore of the 360 screen freeze ups after retraction ?? my brand new helix 12 did it ewcwntly as well as my helix 10 di ??
