How much carpet should I buy to recarpet my 18' Ranger?

    I have a 92 Ranger 482vs 18ft that I'm gonna recarpet soon.
What's the easiest way to figure out how many Ft. I will need.

most marine cpt is 8' wide.. measure from bow along front deck to stern, every bit of length of carpet you have in Boat. drop downs if carpeted , skip the drop down if just fiberglass. Some add some extra length, to redo the trailer wheel Panels and trailer Bunks , so it all Matches. just a personal choice. just keep the carpet grain in same direction

there is 3 different ounce weights it comes in. carpet oz is the total amount of yarn in a 12"x12" square used , which determines it's density. more the oz the thicker carpet is.

A good rule is to measure the total carpet length from bow to stern and add five feet. You'll have a little extra but not much. If you have carpet under the sides of the console then add eleven ft to the total. Measure the widest point of the boat to determine the width needed,no need to add extra for the width.

go with 30' by 6' and you should be good to go, you will have extra but it's nice to have some left over for repairs or mistakes.

go with 30' you have some left over for either repair or screw up and make sure you mark the rug with arrows on the back to keep the grain all going the same direction.

I would get a 30' roll. I just did a 16ft boat with a 25' roll and did not have much leftover
