Everyone is looking for a bargain. I don't blame them but often you get what you pay for. You have to also look at add on's to get he real picture sometimes. If a boat is just a boat with no updated electronic, shallow water anchors, new and improved trolling motor, new or improved batteries such as AGM or lithium, and how it's been taken care of then price of a bargain can vary widely! Also look at age of engine in price. A new motor may not make the boat worth the extra price the motor actually costs but it does add to the net worth. Say a 2000 model with nothing improved may be worth 13,000-16,000 while the same boat with a 1 year old motor might well be worth several thousand more. If you don't know what to look for as flaws in a Champion it would be worth it to take someone with you that knows their possible problems. Transom problems come to mind here. While there are no Better boats made, all boats can have problems. Just something to think about!
