St. Clair Trip timing

I am planning my first trip to St. Clair at the end of the month and I have 2 options for dates, Even though the dates are only a week apart I wanted to get some opinions on which would be best. I don't have a lot of time to spend up there so I want to make the most of the trip:

Thursday May 25th-27th (Memorial day weekend)

Thursday June 1st-3rd

Any helpful pointers for a 1st timer would also be appreciated, thanks!

Memorial weekend can get very busy/crazy out there and with all the bad weather we have had for many it might be their first chance to hit the water
