    97 492VS Prop Help with New 2016 G1 250HO Setup

All. Repowering with a G1 250HO this weekend and trying to figure out what prop and pitch to start with. Motor I'm swapping out from is a 97 venom 200hp with a 6 inch manual plate. Venom has a 22pitch Boger prop tweaked and pushed the big girl 56 with dual 12ft talons.
Any suggestions what to try first? I'm rigging the motor and dealer/tech will do startup for warranty purposes. He's wanting to sell me one of the new Raker HO props with the TBX kit for the G1

Is that 492VS rated for a 250HP? The one I have is an earlier model 492VS, but is rated for 245HP--go figure(why 245?). Good luck with the upgrade.

I have no idea on the gearcase of a rude. If it's similar to merc I'd say a 25 would be close.

Put the 24 raker 1 on and ran it to 5800 rpms and had more to go got 67 gps. This etec 250 ho is like going from a chevette to a corvette from the old venom 200. Going to try the 26 raker 2 tomorrow. Will post pics of the new repowering soon

Yeah, I think my 250 HO on my 2008 Z520 is a 26 or 27 pitch on the Raker II. I have a Bravo I XS 4 blade prop from Mark Croxton and it is a 27 pitch, but he reworked the prop and it will run about 69-70 loaded very heavy. The Raker II did great as well, but I damaged it on a rock and Mark made it look like a new one, maybe better. If you want to know what to run, give him a call. He knows his stuff about props.

I had a 492 with a new 250 pro xs that I ran a 25 tempest on. Probably doesn't help since your looking for g1 numbers. Mine with 2 people loaded and 2/3 full fuel, best I got was 71 at 6000rpm
