    Tips on filling up tank

How do you all get gas in these Bullets lol. Mine will not take a ounce of gas.

I had to remove hose from tank and fuel and reconnect hose.

I did checked the vent hose to make sure it was not clogged.

i bet your nose is uphill. If my nose is uphill it wont take gas so i have to park down hill in parking lot or either get a bigger drop on your hitch.. I know it sounds stupid but on mine it fixes the problem and i can pump wide open

There's a few different fixes. You can remove the vent hose from the tank when fueling, You can cut a garden hose Y into the vent hose and open the Y side valve when fueling. I added a 5' hose to the Y side to hang over the side during fueling in case fuel came out. Or you can get a threaded nipple, 90 & ball valve & install it near the fuel pickup on the starboard side where a plug is & open the valve when fueling. I added a 5' hose to the valve to hang over the side here too in case fuel came out. You can run pump WFO with any of these scenarios.

Haven't had one problem putting in gas. It's always pretty level when I fill up though. Never heard of this before, but I'll watch for nose up if ever a problem.

Shorten the vent hose and make sure it stays above the fill hose with zero sag. Also make sure the fill hose is not too long, it shouldn't have any sag either

Its the vent. Pull it off the tank and try to fill it then

I agree with what Tim has mentioned above. Make sure the vent hose is always above the fill hose, I ty-rapped mine to make sure it stays. And make sure the fill hose is as straight as possible with no bends either. I had to trim my fill hose, it was too long!

I tried all of the hose straightening stuff. Never had any luck with that. I always do like rocketman stated above.

I never had an issue with mine, it takes gas good at any angle. Mine is an old 20 vee though, if that matters.

I just pull the vent line off and stick it back on after fueling up.

I have had problems with every boat I have ever owned, my bullet gives me trouble as well. I have often thought of cutting a hole in the top of the tank and adding something like this.

I don't have problems with filling my tank in my Bullet, but I don't like the thoughts of back splash or dripping nozzles. I like the idea of that straight fill.

That's neat but a lot of work & a lot of mess dropping in your tank. The fitting is there to install an extra vent & then you can fill from the factory filler neck as fast as any pump can pump.
