    I had something similar happen to me, except it was a golf ball while warming up on the driving range at the Georgia State Am. Left butt check hurt for three days after that.

    At that height there's a far worse place to be hit. Just to be safe though he should check his butt. I got hit like that when I was a kid and have had a crack in my butt ever since.
