I just got back from lake. 2 hr drive. Both aluminum wheels are hot. too hot to leave your hand on comfortably. Is this from my bearings going out? I would certainly think so, but both rims feel exactly the same.

Probably from your brakes.
If you have integrity, nothing else matters. If you don't have integrity,
nothing else matters.
Brakes or bearings.
Ether way time to pull it all apart and start replacing parts.
Bearings should be replaced after baking the grease like that for so long.
If you can put your hands on them they are probably O.K. especially if you have been driving in traffic. Make sure the tongue of the trailer extends by itself when disconnected from the tow vehicle.
