    Water Tell Tale

My Johnson 200 has a new water impeller and it works geeat, but it does raise another question. Does the outboard need a tip at the end of the tell tale to create backpresure in the system? Mine does not have a tip on the hose. I can tell it's pumping much harder but should have the tip?

I did not get any overheat alarms at all the entire day. I let it idle for a good bit to make sure and it ran great.

Got a model number for us or do we have to go out and rent a crystal ball?

1990 Johnson 200 GT. J200STLESE. The outboard lives inside an Evinrude FICT cowling if that's makes a difference on the tell tale tip I would need

My fault for not posting my model #. I realize I ask a bunch of questions, but I'm trying to learn. I can proudly say that I successfully replaced my water pump with the help of this website.

So so do I need a tip for back pressure, or am I good free flowing out of the tube.
