Do a search for the Battery Tender Trolling Motor Plug. That's what I have and it has been great. All of the factory style plugs I wound up replacing every 2-3 years and always found the hot wire terminal slightly melted. I did research on the Battery Tender Trolling Motor Plug...it's good for 12 - 48 V 2 wire DC applications and can handle more amps than a 36 volt TM can produce at 100% Power. They are not cheap, but like their slogan says...it's the last trolling motor plug you'll ever buy.

I had mine hard wired for years but now use the battery tender connector and really like it. I have more than 1 TM and this allows for quick exchange if needed (failure, damage etc).

i have run the Minn Kota plug for years without issue...next plug will be the battery tender plug though.
