I've always used 4# mono in the past.
I've been thinking about trying out some superline just to see if I like it better.
Thinking about 4-6 # nanofil , or 5/1 power pro micro.
Anyone with any advice ?

I've sort of done it. I run superlines/braid on my spinning rods, which are what I end up using for panfish. I've been tacking a 2lb leader onto 14 lb Nanofil and 20 lb Power Pro Super Slick for them lately with excellent results. It really can make a difference when you're getting light biters - spawning crappies are a really good example where they'll just quickly mouth your bait to get it away. Seem to get many more hooks in them this way!

I love the 8/1 power pro
3-4lb Fireline or 3-4lb Sufix Nanobraid are my top two choices.
8lb Gliss casts superbly, very quiet, very small diameter, about as strong as 4lb lines above but will fray over time or around rock/brush.
I wasn't a fan of the nanofil I tried, but it cast well. Broke too easily, and felt like it had some stretch.
I run 8 pound Nanofil with 10 feet of Stren 4 or 6 lb Low Vis tied for a leader. Wunderbar !
I have 2 dedicated panfish reels with 3lb and 4lb nanofil. I really like the line.
Question everything!
I use fireline. The only disadvantage of the braid is tying leaders and breaking them off, having to retie. Everything else is better. You could use no leader or use a larger leader like 10 lb fluoro. Works well.
