    1999 225 Optimax holeshot

I have a 99 225 optimax and this past weekend I was out and my holeshot was non existent, and my top end speed/rpm was lower than normal by like 300-500 rpm. My questions is could it be just plugs? coils? injectors? Thanks

Could be any of those things. Perform a spark test as the problem is occuring.

I'd definitely be changing plugs. The one in the middle looks long gone!

I don't know how long the "PZ" designation plug has been gone, but those plugs are definitely overdue for replacement. Would make me suspect any other maintenance items as well. Good info in the FAQ at top of forum and you might want to read these two in particular (if you haven't already). I'd replace the plugs and see how it runs, if still down on power, I'd do as Joe recommends.

UPDATE: I changed the plugs and filters, runs like a completely different motor. Took it to a local shop, they checked it all out and said it only needed plugs and everything was good to go!

Be sure to stay on top of plug change interval in future. Mine get replaced every year regardless of hours since last set (I never get 100hrs in a season).
