    216 Coosa/Verado?

Would you guys be skeptical to putting a 250 Verado on a 216 Coosa just because of the weight and the transom?

I personally would not be skeptical.. If the transom is solid, there shouldn't be a problem.

Do it as long as it is a Verado 250 Pro. Either would be fine imo but the 250 Pro has a little more power.

Post pics once you do it. The v rod will cost a chunk. I don't think you can run standard merc controls. I think anyway. I was going to go 250 pro xs. It was going to be 17500 or so with my controls. The v rod was 21k or so I believe.

I run a 225efi on mine with a 12" jackplate, and know guys that run 14" plates. The hull likes a lot of weight/leverage to get the bow to lift at speed. The construction of my hull is as good as I've seen on any bass boat.

So a V-Rod should match up well, with the extra motor weight it probably would need less setback, which reduces the stress on the transom.
