    Yamaha 23m propeller

What kind of performance are you guys getting out of a Yamaha 23m propeller on a X19 with a vmax 150? Right now Im running a 25p tempest and only turn 48-50mph at 5000rpm tournament load with 2 guys. I really want to get my hands on a 23p tempest but hard to find at a decent price.

Sounds like you need to come up on the jackplate some if you're only turning 5000 rpm.

The Jack plate set at 3.5" above pad really don't want to go any higher. I'm going to reprop but trying to figure out if it's worth buying a 23m or just wait to find a tempest or a trophy prop

I recently bought a X19 with a Vmax 150/23m yamaha prop. Bought a Trophy 48-825938A45 23P and it handles much better and picked up 2-3 mph. Very happy with the prop.

23 trophy, would be in the low to mid 50's loaded in 80+ weather. great handling at 5500 or so. Still have it as a spare. Have a 24m that was used as a spare, not really good for much else. CJ

I've only ran it once. I was by myself with a heavy tournament load. Got 55 mph at around 5300 rpms. That was an improvement of 53 mph at 5500 rpms with the Yamaha prop.

I had a Trophy recommended to me by a few guys on here. Definitely a good performer on my H18. Handles a lot better than a Tempest and is just a touch slower. I just got a change last weekend to air it out for the first time with a 24p Trophy Plus. I hit 62.5 fully loaded in a tournament going down river. Up river was about 58.5 mph. The current was pretty strong so it did help my speed a little downriver. Not sure what pitch you would need, but guessing maybe a 23.
