    Skeeter 21I owners

i have a 06 21i with the 250 yamaha, 25t1 prop. I'm look for your top speeds and advice on maximizing my boats performance. I'm running: 73 mph(gps),5900-6000 rpms, water pressure 25 psi, 3/4 tank fuel, all tackle and two guys, slight chop on water. My prop has a couple very small dings and probably needs some attention. I'm considering raising the engine a 1/4 inch. Thanks

you can send the prop off to mark and have him work his magic but with the load you said your not going to improve much if any i have the same set up just a little newer i have a worked 25 t-1 from mark plate all the way up i can see 75-76 by myself and 73 -74 with my partner my boat is always set up for a tournament so its got some weight in it

I have an 08 and about 73-74 is as good as you are going to get. I have a stock 25 T-1 and that is exactly what I am getting at with full tx gear.

If you figure something out without compromising the ride/the way it drives please do let me know. At FOT 73-74 I can have one hand on the steering wheel and it feels like I am riding on rails.

What is your set up as far as jack plate to pad ratio? I have the same boat/motor/prop combo and can only see 71 alone on a good day with a little chop.
    Thanks

I have the same boat....your doing better than me....same load I am running 71 at 5700... I have had the powerhead replaced with a series 2...when I bought the boat it was running about 69 with a full load at 5500...I moved the plate up about a 1/2 inch and now get the current readings...water pressure is around 25...I would like to know what your below the pad measurement is....looks like I could go up a little more...

I have a 300 HPDI with a hydraulic plate, and the ABSOLUTE best I've ever seen is 78 and a little change.

And that was under perfect conditions. Empty, very little fuel, and a freshly re-worked prop.

I'd say you're doing pretty well.

Thanks for the input. i was told to try a 27 pitch and see what happens. The guy seemed to think i would be impressed with performance.
