    i beleive it was defective

put a post on my new helix 5 w/nav +awhile back, kept turning on and shutting down at will that was frustrating .
brought it back to cabala's with no problem and picked up a helix 5 (chirp) g2 and bought a lake master north east card.
set it up this morning and powered it thru my fuse box and man what a difference , a lot of good features to play with .
so far very happy with it. it wasn't the wiring it was a bad unit.......it happens. and the lake selection on this unit is awesome.

I would still run the power directly to the cranking battery.
