The PTAC in my shop finally bit the dust.
What is the correct way to dispose of it? I don't know if it has any freon in it, but the metal components can probably be recycled. 🌎

Call all your friends and tell them to bring over all the AR/AK that should reduce it to scarp copper!!!!
Call a meth head and they strip it in minutes and load it up and headed to the scrap yard
Have someone EPA certified remove the refrigerant the proper way with the proper equipment, then when empty ask around and there are probably many people who take those units for the copper to scrap. Call your city or county sometimes they will take them and dispose of them properly.
Good crappie structure in the 15'-20' depth range.
The same way I get rid of all my junk, throw it in the dumpster at work.

Any Hvac will probably charge you a service call to come reclaim the refrigerant.I myself would put on craigslist for free and sombody will come get it. There isnt 6$ worth of scrap in a ptac unit..We swap them out all the time.
