Why would they do that, just to mess up the boats of the tournament anglers? if so there should be charges brought against who ever done it.

Home owners will mark stumps with pvc in their shallow coves not sure that is the case here but i'd rather idle in to stump than a piece of rebar.

It was not done to harm anything. The old timers would drive rebar into the stump and then slide a stick of pvc over the top of it to mark the stump. The rebar has outlasted the pvc on most of them. That place was a scary sight last fall during the drought. Stumps everywhere with rusty rebar sticking out of it.

I am sitting a stones throw from the harbor now. Plan to be at blast off in morning. Will check and see how many come back with the bottom of the bullion tact. When it is windy like now you can't see the rebar at all till you here the sound of the scraping fiberglass. I just hope everyone gets back in somewhat intact!

Caddo lake down here in Texas/Louisiana is full of rebar in cypress stumps.
