Initial Ultrex Pairing, which is best

Is it ok to pair the TM when first installed and calibrate when the opportunity to hit the water comes up.
OR is I best to o all this function on the water?

I don't think it would matter. I paired mine up at home because it is easier for me to trouble shoot when I'm at home.

You might already know this, but you are supposed to do the two circles with the big motor. I didn't do it that way and used the ultrex to make the circles. Mine seems to work okay so I've never redone it.
