I'm heading to Marion in a week and a half. How's the bite? Still on beds? How about water level? Temp?
It's my first trip there, so any tips would be GREATLY appreciated.

I would say the bed fishing is all but over with. I lived and fished there for 20 years and in may try cypress trees with worms and white spinner baits. Good luck.
Lake color will depend on location. We just got hit hard with rain so the lake has risen. Temps will probably be high 70s low 80s The bite will depend on who you ask. Some have been doing good. Real good. Some are still scratching their head. 36lbs was first last week, followed by a 27 something for second but they fall off quickly after that.
Take it slow if you around standing timber.
Were those stringers caught in the Spring Fling out of Blacks fish camp?
I'm staying at the Tawcaw. And I've seen a number of videos showing boats making good time down the Tawcaw Creek. How is it navigating around? I really don't want to destroy my lower unit but I do want to check out the lake. How about getting to above 95? I plan on staying in the marked channels. But how about going up Jack's Creek and other side areas? Are they marked for navigation?
