Theft alarm self activated in heavy rain

2014 FX20 with key fob controlled theft alarm. Fished in heavy rain all weekend and when we arrived at the boat Sunday morning, the security alarm was sounding but at a volume level about 30% of normal. After 1 hour of not being able to disarm it with the key fob and it continuing when the battery cables were disconnected and connected back, I cut the wires to the speaker. The blue led light on the dash was constantly lit.

Today after 2 days of drying the little blue LED light on the dash is constantly lit. The alarm chirps when I turn off the key, but is no longer going off. I installed an on/off switch in the positive lead to the speaker to eliminate noises until I can resolve the issue. Also please explain what the blue light indicates (not in the manual). No response to key fob even with new batteries installed.

Any ideas? I have used the alarm previously twice and it worked fine. Had all rod box lights come on the day before and stay on for 3 hours. Water logged electronics are driving me crazy. The light issue resolved itself when dry.

Also, I assume the motor alarm is a separate buzzer, otherwise I have turned it off. This boat is new to me, so please excuse the ignorance. Please respond if you have had similar problems. Mine does not have the locker locks, just the switches and alarm. Thanks in advance.

Had the similar chirp problem after having the Boat a bit. Same type of scenario would chirp each time I turned the key no alarm though. If you have a in dash mounted electronics take it out behind that in the console area there is a reset switch in line. It was in my manual for the alarm about the chirping. The switch I found trying to secure the electronics in the dash better. I have an FX20 2014 as well.

Thank you! I will look for it next week when I have time. Can you explain what the blue light means?

I found the alarm module but no reset button. Disconnected the blue light lead and speaker. According to the manufacturer website, it is stuck in valet mode. Boats do not have the valet button. Further suggestions?

Noboy else had this happen? I disconnected the blue light and the speaker. In the off season I will disconnect the battery (it is wired through the motor) and see if it resets.

Well, a friend of mine borrowed my boat last night for a tournament and it rained on it and was chirping with the blue light on this morning. He looked for the valet button under the console but couldn't find one. He ended up cutting the speaker wire. When I get the boat back I'm going to call Omega's customer support ( number is on their website ) and see what they say to fix it.
