    What am I missing?

    I am in the process of resealing my transom and cleaning everything up on my 95 181.So far everything has been sealed very well bolt holes and through the hull fittings. But I can't seem to get the top cap off I don't want to get carried away and bend it all up.But I have tried prying I have taken a razor knife and run it along the edges I can't even get one end or the other to even start to come are they normally this hard to remove?

    Sounds like it may be sealed well already. The 2 I have done came off pretty easy but they weren't sealed very well.

    Mine wasn't sealed at all, but it sure is now! I feel sorry for the next sucker that has to re-seal it.
