    Helix 9 mega depth issues

I just recently converted over from lowrance to humminbird and having some issues that I hope are just in getting the settings adjusted correctly. My helix 9 mega unit will not indicate depth at speeds above 4.5 mph. It starts to display random outrageous depths. I have the transducer placed in the same location that my previous unit was installed for many years without any problems. Note, I have also leveled the transducer. At speeds below 4.5 mph everything's crystal clear and appears accurate. Is this a glitch or are there internal setting to correct this?

There is a glitch, it's your installation.

    What is "leveled" to you?

Level to me is using an actual level on the boat and adjusting the transducer in the water as it would normally be. Not on the trailer. I need to figure the process of adding a picture using an iPad out to post. File is to large. Anyhow as stated above it's mounted in the same location as my previous lowrance transducers had been for the past 15 years with no issues. I previously had both the standard and structure scan transducers approximately 8" apart. Long ago I had mounted a plastic plate to the rear left transom of my aluminum boat to limit the number of holes and damage from electronic upgrades.

Most likely transducer location. What might have worked in the past May not be suitable for the newer transducers.

The structure scan beam angle isn't as wide.
